Open Houses Attracting Lots Of Interest

The Doors Open weekend (May 24/25) saw more than 180 people try bowls, unfortunately the rain on Sunday afternoon reduced the steady flow of visitors. Two weeks later we opened again for National Bowls Day where we greeted over 50 people. Visitors got to look over our table of club history, watch a short promotional video from Bowls Canada and check out the locker rooms. Each visitor (including children) were given basic instruction on how to deliver a bowl.
To date we have 15 new bowlers from these initiatives with more signing up every couple of days!

Kew Beach Lawn Bowling Club is located on the waterfront at the foot of Lee Ave in the Beach, Toronto. Our members are a fun, diverse bunch of people. There is Lawn Bowling as well as Croquet - 2 sports for the low price of one! During the winter months members play Carpet Bowls, Darts, Table Tennis, Cards and organize social events. Equipment, lessons from volunteer coaches and practice play are available to all members. These affordable games combine social interaction, low impact exercise, strategy, skill and competition - all in one of Toronto's most beautiful locations.
